Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyaan - Nogoria

Overview

The Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan – Nogoria is a flagship initiative by the Government of Assam aimed at promoting entrepreneurship among urban women, particularly those associated with Self-Help Groups (SHGs). The scheme provides direct seed funding to help women launch or expand micro-enterprises, bolstering economic independence and empowerment.
 

Key Objectives

• Transform urban women SHG members into successful entrepreneurs.
• Stimulate urban women-led micro-enterprises for greater financial autonomy.
• Improve the socio-economic status of women through focused investments and support.
   

Core Components

1. Seed Capital Grant
   • ₹10,000 credited directly to the bank account of each eligible woman SHG member.
   • Designed to kick-start new or existing income-generating activities.
      
2. Eligibility Criteria
   To qualify for the scheme, candidates must:
   • Be an active SHG member registered under ASULMS.
   • Hold an Aadhaar-linked savings bank account.
   • Not have defaulted with SHGs, banks, or other financial institutions.
   • Be engaged in at least one income-generating activity and have a ready business plan.
   • Adhere to child-limitation norms:
     • General/OBC: Maximum 3 children
     • SC/ST/Moran/Tea Tribe: Maximum 4 children
   • Enroll any girl child in school, if applicable.
